The archers of Sports Retirement Group (GRS) were happy to open the twelfth edition of “La Flèche d’Or” on Tuesday in Mâcon.
This day brought together 12 clubs from Saône-et-Loire, Rhône and Ain. Throughout the day, they competed on 14 tracks with 2 teams of clubs per track or 28 teams per team of 4.
The archers fired their arrows for 7 hours nonstopeach team managed the rotation of the archers according to their strategy.
“We are 72 archery licensees from the association of GRS (our oldest at 88). We are lucky to have an archery room with access 3 mornings a week: Monday, Thursday and Friday. All the clubs present envy us, because they train or meet in municipal halls, gymnasiums… We are the only ones within a radius of 100 km to have a room dedicated to archery.
The hall is used by two sports associations of tand bow: The GRS Archery and by the Archers Mâconnais club (club affiliated to the French Archery Federation) confided Daniel Fouilloux.
