The oblique problems that plagued Juan Soto during the World Baseball Classic appear to be minimal, so the San Diego Padres are hoping to have their stellar outfielder for Major League Baseball’s opening day.
In fact, the manager of the religious, Bob Melvin, declared to the official MLB website that the Dominican has a “minimal strain” and that “there is no significant inflammation so perhaps he can swing in a couple of days.”
In this way, Melvin is convinced that Juan Soto will be available for Opening Day, on March 30, the date on which the Padres host the Colorado Rockies.
Soto arrived in San Diego in August of the previous year, via a trade from the Washington Nationals. Although he hit just .236 in his 52 games with the religious team, he posted a .388 on-base percentage, six home runs and 16 RBIs before helping the team reach the postseason.
Likewise, the patrolman born in Santo Domingo and the Padres avoided going to arbitration for 2023 by agreeing in January for 23 million dollars.
Juan Soto should be one of the leaders of the San Diego Padres on the way to a course in which said organization wants to break the hegemony of the Los Angeles Dodgers as champions of the West in the National.
