Jesi, the Judo Samurai organizes an anti-racist sporting challenge

Jesi (Ancona), 16 March 2023 – Two Judo Samurai athletes from Jesi on the top step at the championships in Albania on 5 March. Bitri Klajdi and Bitri Zenel won the 2023 Albanian championship, respectively in the 66 Junior (Klajdi) and 60 Junior (Zenel) categories. Two Italian judokas, born and raised in Jesi, but with dual nationality (thanks to both Albanian parents, they achieved this important result). For Bitri Klajdi it is the reconfirmation, because also in 2022 he had won the Albanian championships and this year he repeated himself.
Raised judoistically in the nursery of Judo samurai Jesi, the two brothers have shown great temperament and excellent preparation, winning all matches by Ippon (victory before the time limit). Two very good guys perfectly integrated into Jesi society who also compete in Italy with excellent competitive results.
This important milestone comes about because on March 23 at the Palatriccoli in Jesi, the Judo Samurai organizes an “Italy-Albania” meeting-event for judo teams to celebrate the twinning between the Jesi company and the largest and most important Judo club of Tirana.
The event, also filmed by Rai 3, is included in the activities of the TEJ Project (Training Education Judo) approved and financed by the Department of Sport of the Presidency of the Republic of the Council of Ministers, to commemorate the world day/week against discrimination in general and racism in particular.
The strongly desired event also following the racist insults that have overwhelmed the Jesina player Trudo in recent days will see a collegiate training with various clubs from the Marche region and the Albanian club, then there will be, by an actress, the reading of a excerpt from the book “racism explained to my daughter” by the writer Tharar Ben Jelloun, and finally the Judo team match between the Judo samurai Jesi and the Tirona club in Tirana.
