How do you rate the course of the match?
We started the match very badly, we conceded early, which was such a slap in the face for us. On the other hand, we got knocked back early and equalized from the penalty spot. At the end of the first half, we were the better team. The second half was a battle, nobody wanted to lose anything. Pardubice were a little more active offensively. We lead by a point, which deserves praise. Although I feel disappointed that we didn’t score the winning goal, it was probably deserved.
How is it possible that you did not follow up on the successful conclusion of the first act in the second?
We made a lot of mistakes in the second half. We didn’t manage to finish anything, we had too many silly turnovers for our standards. In addition, some substitutions didn’t even work out for us, and the match turned out the way it did.
Striker Jiří Klíma appeared in the minutes of the match, but in the end he was not even on the substitutes’ bench. What is it?
He was injured in training yesterday. We didn’t know how bad it would be and hoped it would get better overnight. In the morning he said he was unable to board. But we left him in the record because he traveled with us normally.
How was the team after you dropped into the relegation zone last weekend?
I saw maybe even more commitment and quality in the training process during the week. Even so, of course, we are not satisfied with the fact that we did not manage to win, even though the opponent had a streak behind him. But the draw is fair, you have to take it with humility and prepare for the next match at home with Sparta.
So how will you prepare for Sparta in your current situation?
We bounced back with a draw, a point earned. Even if it is not enough for us, we needed it. I hope it encourages us.
Could you shed some light on that post-match rant? A member of your implementation team (physiotherapist Radek Havala, editor’s note) even received a red card…
I just noticed that Florin Nita somehow greeted our viewers, I just don’t know in what style. Our implementation team member objected to this. But I was on the bench, so unfortunately I didn’t see it.
It was with Nita that you had fun after the match, so did you solve this situation together somehow?
No, not at all. I trained him back in Sparta, so I asked him what his next steps would be. He said that he will work in Pardubice until the end of the season and then see each other.
