Haaland offers himself a quintuplet and enters the history of the Champions League

Erling Haaland becomes the third player in history to score a quintuple in the Champions League. The second in the final stages.

Lionel Messi had – once again – paved the way. In 2012, the Argentinian scored five goals against Bayer Leverkusen in the knockout stages of the Champions League. Two years later, the Paris Saint-Germain striker was imitated by Luiz Adriano, who scored a quintuple in the group stages against Bate Borisov.

This Tuesday, Erling Haaland does the same and joins Lionel Messi, still the only player to have scored five goals in a single knockout match in the Champions League. The Norwegian scored a quintuple in less than 50 minutes against Leipzig.
