Frustration in Anderlecht: Raman and Verbruggen exchanged some truths

Funny image at the final whistle: obviously, there was tension in the air between Benito Raman and Bart Verbruggen. Will the defeat of Anderlecht leave traces?

The atmosphere seemed to be fine in recent weeks in Anderlecht, but obviously, that does not prevent the players from saying things to each other. At the final whistle, Benito Raman and Bart Verbruggen apparently exchanged a few pleasantries. The Dutch keeper didn’t look happy. “What we said will stay in the locker room. But I think it’s normal for there to be frustration after such a performance,” he relativized afterwards.

The RSCA has indeed not been at the level of recent weeks. “We put a point of time to be at the top collectively, and all that disappeared in the second half”, summarizes Verbruggen. Jan Vertonghenwho calmed down Raman and Verbruggen as a good captain, did not say anything else.

“We weren’t good enough on the ball, our combination game was lacking,” Vertonghen said. “And after such a match, of course the discussions will continue in the locker room. What matters is to pull together in the same direction afterwards”. It’s up to Brian Riemer to put everyone back in the right direction.
