In spring 2022, Apple announced that it had struck a deal with Major League Baseball (MLB). It was said that Apple and the MLB will provide a weekly doubleheader of live broadcasts with “Friday Night Baseball.” The 2022 season is long behind us. The 2023 season will start next month and Apple TV+ has now announced a first timetable.

Apple and Major League Baseball (MLB) announced that Friday Night Baseball, a weekly doubleheader, will be available every Friday during the regular season to all Apple TV+ subscribers. Meanwhile, fans in 60 countries and regions can enjoy two high-profile matches without local broadcast restrictions over a 25-week period.

The starting shot will be given at the beginning of April. It kicks off on Friday, April 7, 2023 with the Texas Rangers playing the Chicago Cubs at Wrigley Field in Chicago, the first daytime game, and the San Diego Padres playing the Atlanta Braves. Apple has also confirmed new moderators. There will also continue to be live reports before and after the games.

Apple and the MLB have also the schedule for “Friday Night Baseball” for the first half of the season through June 30th. In Apple Music Fans will find exclusive playlists featuring the hitter’s songs from each team featured on this week’s Friday Night Baseball, as well as a collection of classic baseball-themed songs.
