“Žalgiris” of Kaunas in the ULEB Euroleague match against “Olympiacos” of Piraeus paid tribute anniversary visitors.
On Thursday, in the “Žalgiris” arena, a memorial award was presented to a woman who became the 250,000th visitor of the Kaunas team this season. The legendary Paulius Jankūns participated in the award presentation.

This season, “Žalgiris” played 23 games at home, which means that more than ten thousand spectators attend the team’s matches on average. It should be noted here that the attendance of the Kaunas club varies in different tournaments.
For comparison, 14,861 people attended the match against Olympiacos, while 2,933 spectators attended the Lithuanian league match against “Prienai” held a month ago. This does not apply to the Lithuanian derby – the March 12 match in Kaunas between “Žalgiris” and “Rytas” was attended by 12,175 people.
