Domantas Sabonis luce en Sacramento

Domantas Sabonis stayed at the gates of the triple-double (30 points, 10 assists and 9 rebounds) to command the seventh consecutive victory as visitors to the Kings by winning the Washington pavilion 132-118.

Mike Brown’s men are unstoppable with three wins in a row overall, and with 11 wins in the last 13 games they have played. All this translates into a magnificent record of 43-27, being second in the Western Conference and tied with the young Grizzlies.

“He’s taking all kinds of blows to the head,” Brown said of Sabonis’s game. «They throw him to the ground and he goes on and on. He has gone 30-9-10 while being extremely efficient on 12 shots. How do you get 30 points in just twelve throws? I have to keep reminding them that he is an All-NBA player. It’s just a little reminder that he’s one of those guys,” he said.

As Brown pointed out, the Lithuanian center connected 10 of 12 from the field and 10 of 12 from free throws, staying on the verge of his triple-double number 31 of his NBA career.

Other standouts for the Californians were reserves Terence Davis and Malik Monk with 21 and 17 points respectively, and rookie Keegan Murray with 19 points, 5 rebounds and 5 assists through a 5/10 triple.

“I think Domantas brings a lot of attention on offense,” Murray said. «With our attack, which is very fluid, you never know what to expect. We can do different things at different times. And that’s what we did tonight. We had many opportunities and we hit the shots, “he acknowledged.

In the capital, who have barely won two wins in the last nine games, Kyle Kuzma stood out with 33 points and 7 rebounds; seconded by Bradley Beal with 20 goals. For his part, Kristaps Porzingis could not play due to being ill, and his place in the quintet was taken by Corey Kispert with 13 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists for him.
