The Disciplinary Council for Professional Football has finally provided clarity: the match between Charleroi and KV Mechelen must be completely replayed behind closed doors. In November, the game was abandoned at 1-0 after supporters of the home team pelted the field with fireworks 3 times.

On November 12, the game between Charleroi and KV Mechelen was definitively stopped in the 67th minute after supporters of the home team pelted the field with fireworks for a third time.

The game was already stopped twice in the 1st half. Charleroi was leading 1-0 at the time of the final stoppage, but will have to start again from 0 in the second chance.

In addition to a fine of 50,000 euros that the Pro League already imposed for reputational damage, the Council also announces that Charleroi must pay an additional fine of 10,000 euros for misbehaving by the fans.
