Canada Games: Gabriel Aly Ndiaye will fight for the gold medal

After winning his first two fights of the competition earlier this week, the young athlete from Rouyn-Noranda defeated the British Columbia champion by unanimous decision Thursday night in the semi-final round of the 63 category, 5 kg.

Gabriel Aly Ndiaye will therefore fight for the gold medal and the title of the National Games on Saturday.

Three other Abitibis

Remember that three other athletes from Abitibi-Témiscamingue are taking part in these Canada Games.

For one, Rouynorandian archer Justin Gauthier was in singles and team action. He notably took 8th place individually.

For his part, the Amossois Antony Pard concluded the figure skating competition in 7th position among 15 competitors in his category, with a cumulative score of 83.58, following his free program.

Finally, badminton player Benoit Bordeleau, from La Sarre, returns to action on Friday as the mixed team competition begins. He was eliminated in the quarter-finals in the singles and mixed doubles events on Wednesday.
