BSPA Linz and ÖTV conduct instructor training for athletic training for the first time – ÖTV

A good education is always the key to success, also in sports. It is with good reason that the Federal Sports Academy Linz, in cooperation with the ÖTV, is conducting instructor training for athletic training in tennis for the first time this year, initially as a pilot project. Recently, the first 14 graduates passed the final exam in Upper Austria’s provincial capital and thus successfully completed the instructive training.

“The training was carried out in the hope that clubs, tennis schools, etc. would increasingly focus on the important area of athletics in the complex sport of tennis or that the importance of good basic athletic training by qualified personnel would be recognized,” explained MMag. dr Johannes Landlinger, STV lecturer and head of the instructor training department at the BSPA Linz.

The instructor training for athletic training in tennis is part of a training offensive in tennis initiated by the ÖTV. Another pilot project for a planned focus in the children’s tennis area will start via the BSPA Innsbruck in autumn 2023.
