Ahn Se-young, a Korean badminton player, won the runner-up at the World Tour German Open of the World Badminton Federation (BWF).

World No. 2 Ahn Se-young lost to Akane Yamaguchi 0-2 (11-21 14-21) in the women’s singles final of the BWF World Tour Super 300 German Open held in Mulheim, Germany on the 13th (Korean time).

Ahn Se-young, who defeated Yamaguchi at the Indian Open in January, once again tried to win the German Open, but unfortunately failed. She also had a record of 6 wins and 12 losses against Yamaguchi.

On this day, Ahn Se-young played a tight match until the middle of the first set, but in the 8-10 match, Yamaguchi allowed 10 points in a row and took the flow. In the second set, she led 7–4, but was beaten back by 6 points.

In the men’s and women’s doubles, Korea both won gold medals. In the women’s doubles, world No. 32 Lee So-hee and Baek Hana-jo defeated world No. 2 Matsuyama Nami-Shida Chiaruzo 2-0 (21-19 21-15) in the final.

In the men’s doubles, Choi Sol-kyu and Kim Won-ho team defeated Seo Seung-jae and Kang Min-hyuk 2-1 (21-19 18-21 21-19) in the final.
