The absences of Ronald Araujo and Giorgian De Arrascaeta in the Asian tour of the Uruguayan team, with matches against Japan and South Korea, added to that of Darwin Núñez, means that the Uruguayan Football Association (AUF) charges less for not reaching meet one of the requirements established in the contract signed by the matches.

The contract for the duels in Tokyo, on March 24, and Seoul, on the 28th of the same month, has a clause that obliges them to bring 15 players who participated in the World Cup in Qatar, and, otherwise, they would have to face a Economic fine of US$ 20,000 for each absence.

In Marcelo Broli’s primary reserve, 18 footballers appeared with this condition, of which 15 were confirmed in the final list. In that interim, Nicolas de la Cruz was left on the road, with synovitis of his right knee; Guillermo Varela, with groin pain; and Lucas Torreira, by technical decision.

In this way, there were the 15 necessary names; until last Friday the absence of Darwin Núñez was confirmed due to a deep cut on the ankle. His replacement was Jonathan Rodríguez, but this Monday two other casualties were confirmed.

Ronald Araujo ended the classic between Barcelona and Real Madrid with muscular discomfort and the MRI revealed a left thigh adductor injury, for which Sebastián Cáceres, from América de México, was summoned in his place.

At the same time, the loss of Giorgian de Arrascaeta was confirmed, who has discomfort in the same area as the defender. In his place will be Diego Hernández, Wanderers attacker, who has already traveled to the Japanese capital.

Thus, the US$60,000 fine will be discounted from the US$1,500,000 previously established in the agreement.

Finally, the 12 world players are: Sergio Rochet (National), Jose Luis Rodriguez (Vasco da Gama), Sebastian Coates (Sporting Lisbon), Matthias Vina (Bournemouth), Matthias Olivera (Napoli), Matthias Vecino (Lazio), Manuel Ugarte (Sporting Lisbon), Federico Valverde (Real Madrid), Facundo Pellistri (Manchester United), Agustin Canobbio (Athletico Paranaense), Facundo Torres (Orlando City), and Maximilian Gomez (Trabzonspor).
