Asvel logically wins in Toulouse

There was not really any suspense when Asvel, leader of the classification, moved to Toulouse, the red lantern. With 2 wins for 14 defeats (the opposite of the Lyon stats), the Toulouse had already confided in the week that they were not expecting a miracle. They nevertheless resisted during the first quarter (21-21) before seeing the Lyonnaises widen the gap (68-52 before the last quarter) and manage the end of the match. We will remember for Asvel the 18 points and 9 rebounds of Sandrine Gruda, as well as the activity in defense of Gabby Williams.

The 17th day of the Championship also offered the opposition between La Roche-sur-Yon and Lattes Montpellier. If the Yonnaises started well, the Montpellier women reacted perfectly by asserting their skill at three points at the start of the match. If Coline Franchelin (11 points) struggled a lot for La Roche-sur-Yon, Lattes Montpellier was able to rely on Haley Peters (18 points, 4 rebounds), Mamignan Toure (13 points, 4 rebounds) and Kyara Linskens (12 points, 9 rebounds) for a serene victory (79-52).

Finally, Villeneuve-d’Ascq dominated Saint-Amand (74-55) thanks, in particular, to a Hind Ben Abdelkader in great shape (23 points).
