And now I can do whatever I want! Davidová about the winning point, sad farewell and horse races

Is it nice to end the season with a win?

We don’t take these races to fight for medals. It’s a different format, we rather want to please the people who came here.

Are you relieved now that the season is over?

That’s right, the holidays are starting, so I’m looking forward to it. The fatigue was already great, so it was not easy, but we are glad that there was still snow and we could race.

How do you spend your time off after the season? Will you sleep?

I’m not quite up to it, but I’ll sleep the first few days. When the body is tired, it will tell itself… But I’ll do what I want, that’s what I’ll enjoy the most. And then I’ll be around horses a lot.

Last year you even managed a parkour race on them. Do you have plans for it this year as well?

I would like to. But I don’t know if it will work out, because things don’t always go according to plan.

What hurts the most after the season?

My legs hurt, my back hurts, my neck is blocked, there’s a lot of it.

So what was the season just ended in your eyes? Two podiums, ninth overall in the World Cup…

I have mixed feelings about her as always, something worked, something not. I’m a little sad about the last race at Holmenkollen, when I missed out on a better place in the overall ranking of the World Cup. Unfortunately, the conditions weren’t quite the ideal race…

What is the biggest plus of the season? Accelerated firing?

Most probably the acceleration. And even the accuracy stats are slightly better than they were last year.

What was it like saying goodbye to several big biathlon personalities in Norway?

Of course, it was emotional at the finish line, like a year ago for us, when we all gathered there to see Evička (Puskarčíková). It’s always so sad.
