100 container basketball village from Basketball Family

The project, supported by Polimeks Holding, the Turkish Basketball Coaches Association (TÜBAD) and the Support and Education Foundation for Basketball (BİDEV), will be established in the Belen district of Hatay.

The statement from TBF is as follows:

“We are in great pain as a country due to the earthquakes felt in many cities, especially in Kahramanmaraş, Hatay, Adıyaman, Gaziantep, Kilis, Şanlıurfa, Adana, Osmaniye, Diyarbakır, Malatya and Elazığ. In order to share our deep pain a little bit, under the coordination of AFAD; Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF), With the partnership of Polimeks Holding, chaired by Erol Tabanca, the Turkish Basketball Coaches Association (TÜBAD) and the Support and Education Foundation for Basketball (BİDEV), a 100-container basketball village will be built in the Belen district of Hatay. It will offer a living space for 800 people. There will be 100 living containers, 2 social facilities, laundry and an infirmary on an area of ​​11,397 m2. In addition to this, rehabilitation works for earthquake victims will be developed with psychologists, doctors and educators in the basketball village to be established. in areas to be created for young people, social and sports f organizations will be held. On this occasion, we wish God’s mercy once again to our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake, and a speedy recovery to our wounded.”
