Wright expresses annoyance about distraction: ”It happened at crucial moments”

Peter Wright faced a tough draw in the second round of the Baltic Darts Open but cleared the hurdle with a 6-3 win over James Wade.

Wright knew he could start anyway, because Wade had dealt with Raymond van Barneveld in the first round. “That makes it easy, because I knew I would have a good player against me anyway. If you get through such a match, it is always good for the rest of the tournament mentally,”, ‘Snakebite’ said afterwards. Dartnyheder.dk.

The Scot did express his annoyance about the fact that he was distracted during his duel against Wade. Normally there is a curtain on the left side of the stage to separate it from the backstage area. That curtain was missing at the Euro Tour tournament in Kiel.

“I could see people walking and that happened at crucial moments. Even James, who is left-handed, had noticed. I’m sure PDC Europe will solve this situation,” said Wright.
