William Cuevas will play in the Mexican league

The Red Devils of Mexico announced the signing of Venezuelan pitcher William Cuevas for the 2023 season, marking his return to the Mexican Baseball League.

The experienced Major League right-hander had a small internship in the 2022 Aztec League campaign.

The information was released by the team through their social networks, where they welcomed the Creole.

“From Caracas, Venezuela with extensive experience in the Minor Leagues and in the KBO, the arm of William Cuevas will continue to reinforce the scarlet pitching. WELCOME BACK WILLIAM!” the team said.

The 32-year-old player made his Major League debut in 2016 with the Boston Red Sox; after that he played for the Detroit Tigers and the Miami Marlins.

During his time in Mexico, he accumulated a total of 14.2 innings pitched, in which he allowed 15 hits and struck out 17 opponents.
