On Saturday, in Sassuolo, Victor Osimhen (24) scored to make it 2-0. It was his 100th goal in his 197th game – the Naples striker broke the magic 100 goal faster than Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo.
In the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 at Eintracht Frankfurt, he showed his class again and scored a goal in the 2-0 win.
No question: The Nigerian is currently one of the top strikers in the world, with 18 goals in 19 Serie A games he has played a key role in Napoli master class.

The big clubs in Europe are watching Osimhen’s situation very closely. He still has a contract in Naples until 2025, but he is currently avoiding a clear commitment to the SSC!
He told ESPN: “When you perform so well, top clubs around the world watch you, especially in the big five leagues. Catching the attention of these clubs shows that I’m doing a good job and it gives me a lot of motivation to give even more to myself and my team.”
And then he says: “At the end of the season we’ll see what happens, but it’s not up to me, it’s up to what the club decides.”
Chelsea, Manchester United and Paris St-Germain, as well as Real Madrid, are considered potential buyers.
Osimhen came to Germany in January 2017 as a 19-year-old from the Nigerian club Ultimate Strikers Academy to VfL Wolfsburg. He didn’t make the breakthrough there (16 appearances, no goal). A year and a half later he was loaned to Belgium club RSC Charleroi and sold there in the summer of 2019 for €3.5 million. Charleroi sold him on to LOSC Lille just a month later – for €22.4m.
In Lille, the career took off. Osimhen scored 16 times in 38 games. in the summer of 2020, Napoli paid a fee of 75 million euros for the 1.86 meter man. And he paid back with goals. In 85 games he scored 47 times and also prepared 13 other goals.
