From yesterday until February 28, the young judoka from the UPCN Academy, Abril Villalba, was summoned by the DAR Program of the National Sports Secretariat to participate in a training camp between 9 selected young male and 9 female judokas of all country.
The activities will take place at CeNARD, in the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires, and will be in charge of the professor, Olympic champion, Paula Pareto.
Abril has 8 years of experience as a competitor, with participation in all kinds of provincial, regional, national and international tournaments. She is a student of Professor Mariano Mobilio at the UPCN Academy and this call comes after the year 2022 was consecration for her, where she managed to be bronze in the Evita National Games, silver in the Central Tournament of the Republic, National Champion in the Argentine Tournament Closing and also the South American Bronze integrating the National Children’s Judo team, among many other regional and provincial achievements.
In addition, also last season, Abril along with Professor Kevin De Los Santos were praised and applauded both at the inauguration of the judo tournament of the Evita National Games and at the inauguration of the South American Judo Championship for presenting a choreography where they combined judo and tango, designed by themselves.
