Vienna has prematurely extended the partnership with main sponsor UNIQA by three years. This was announced on Wednesday at a press conference by the second division club.
The permanent return of Austria’s oldest football club to the Bundesliga was named as a long-term goal.
“Vienna’s goal is to establish itself in the second division in the long term and to continue attacking next season,” said the new sports director Andreas Ivanschitz, who succeeded Markuskatzer, who had moved to Rapid.
The Vienna is currently in sixth place in the table. The 2nd league starts spring on February 24th.
