The Venezuelan basketball team is concentrated in the capital for the matches that it will play in the FIBA window against the Bahamas and Canada with a view to qualifying for the World Cup.

Both duels will be played on February 23 and 26 at the Poliedro de Caracas, a venue that will once again host the Tricolor de las Estrellas after the previous presences of the team led by Fernando Duró in cities such as Puerto La Cruz and Barquisimeto.

In these duels, the Creoles will seek to ensure their presence in the World Cup that will be held in the Philippines, Japan and Indonesia in August of this year. For this, it will have the presence of players like Windi Graterol, Néstor Colmenares and David Cubillán.

The three players are veterans in the national team and are already in Venezuelan territory after landing at the Simón Bolívar International Airport in Maiquetía to put themselves under Duró’s orders.

Graterol has been an international with Venezuela since 2012, while Colmenares has been since 2011 and Cubillán since 2014. The three belonged to that generation that won the South American Championship in 2014 and 2016 and qualified for the Rio de Janeiro Olympics.
