The heavy effects of the earthquake affect many sports organizations. Finally, the Turkish Basketball Federation announced that the dates of the Turkish Cup competitions will change.
The Turkish Basketball Federation (TBF) announced that the Turkish Cup matches for men and women cannot be held on the previously announced dates.
In the statement made by the TBF, it was reported that due to the earthquakes in Kahramanmaraş that affected 10 provinces, it was decided that the Bitci Men’s Turkey Cup and Bitci Women’s Turkish Cup competitions would not be played on the dates announced before the season, in consultation with the clubs.
In the statement, which stated that the new activity program will be re-evaluated according to the negotiations with the clubs, the following statements were included:
“There is no need to take any action for the return of digital tickets purchased for the relevant competitions. The amount of the ticket will be refunded to the bank-credit card used in the transaction within 10 working days. Once again, God’s mercy on our citizens who lost their lives in the earthquake that stifled our country; condolences to our nation and We wish a speedy recovery to the injured.”
The Women’s Final Four matches were scheduled for March 9-11 in Hatay, and the men’s Final Four matches were scheduled for February 17-19 in Konya.
