Judokas, coaches and family gathered to celebrate the 87th black belt award.
This Wednesday, at the end of the afternoon, the judokas who follow the weekly training sessions played extra time. Indeed, Sébastien Marty had during a ceremony which he is used to, to give yet another black belt, the 87th precisely since the creation of the club. However, this ceremony somewhat drew tears of emotions on both sides. It was, in fact, for the president, to deliver this first “ grail “sporty at Lilou a young girl, whose seventeenth birthday was celebrated the same evening, and who was none other than the daughter of the president of the club.
The awarding of the black belt
If in more than sixty years of existence, one is tempted to say that the Limouxin club has only had 87 black belts, it is perhaps and above all the difficulty in obtaining this rank. Which is attributed according to a purely technical part on the one hand : the Katas, an examination presented in front of a jury and in a second time, a number of points obtained thanks to the victories in competition.
Precisely, in this register, Lilou who participated this Saturday in a tournament in Lavelanet, finalized the attribution of this belt by winning 4 of his 5 fights during this tournament. What’s more, she took the second step of the podium in her category that day.
On the strength of her good results, she was given this new belt surrounded by her family, Pierre Durand the first magistrate and all her teachers and judoka partners.
