In a meeting that took place on Saturday afternoon, the basketball teams that will represent the municipality of San Pedro in the regional qualifying round were defined, where the teams that will go to the state stage will be defined.
The tournament was held at the Benito Juárez Sports Unit and the teams faced each other; the Club Panteras teams of Emmanuel Trujillo against CBJG of Jesús Gaytán, both with representatives in the categories 15 and 16 years and 17 and 18 years.
The CBJG players in the 15 and 16 year category were proclaimed winners with 28 points to 22. While in the second match, in the 17 and 18 years category, the Panteras team won 32 points to 22.
The selected teams will be measured on February 11 and 12, with their similar ones from the rest of the municipalities of the Comarca Lagunera, in the regional qualifying round that will be held in the municipality of Matamoros.
The organization of the events is in charge of the State Sports Institute of Coahuila in coordination with the Department of Sports Attention in San Pedro.
At the end of this municipal tie and after the awarding of the trophies and recognition, the municipal authorities urged the athletes to continue working to raise the name of the municipality.
