For the time being, he pumped 114.6 million euros into the club. There are many things that should ensure that Antwerp becomes self-sufficient in the future.
Among other things, the new transfer policy (thanks to Marc Overmars) and the new status of the youth academy should help with this. Admittedly, these are prospects for a number of years. Currently, Antwerp still counts on the investments of its owner.
The newspapaer now reports that another capital increase is coming in June. Gheysens is said to be planning to pump approximately 47.5 million euros into the club. These investments are essential to be strong when the license file is awarded for next season.
