On Sunday, February 26, the third stage of the Latvian 3×3 basketball youth league tournament series will take place in the U19 and U17 age groups at the Saldus Sports House. The competition is organized by the Latvian Basketball Association in cooperation with the construction company “Restaurators”.
Both the units registered by sports schools and the teams that will be created especially for this tournament can participate in the tournament. Teams can apply until February 22 on the FIBA 3×3 basketball platform or by sending an e-mail to: [email protected]
A team can apply a maximum of 8 players for the season, a maximum of 4 players for each stage. Participation fee for the stage – 50 EUR.
The first stage took place on December 30 in Jelgava Sports Hall, 26 boys and 6 girls teams participated. The winners of the U19 group were the boys’ team “Āķis” and the girls’ quartet “BS Rīga”, the best were the boys of “Salaspils SS” and the girls of “BS Rīga/Centrs” in the U17 group.
28 boys’ and 5 girls’ teams participated in the second stage in Madona on January 28. In the boys’ tournament, the U19 group was won by “Salaspils SS”, the U17 group was won by “Liielie simiķi”, the girls’ combined group was won by “Mikrorajons Jugla”.
The 4th stage will take place on April 1 in Talso, the final – on April 29 (provisionally).
The three best results for each team will be taken into account in the overall ranking. The 12 best teams will compete in the final tournament.

Since 2021, sports schools in cooperation with municipalities have the opportunity to accredit the 3×3 basketball program and organize training groups specializing in this type of basketball.
