This was quipped by PSM Makassar coach, Bernardo Tavares on two occasions, before and after facing Persebaya in a press conference session, Friday (23/2).
The 42-year-old coach from Portugal has nothing to lose for the League 1 champion.
This is because the target for this season has been achieved by bringing PSM Makassar to a position and getting better results compared to last season.
“Champion or not, our target from the start was to be better than last season and we have exceeded that,” said Bernardo Tavarez after the match against Persebaya.
He admitted that currently PSM Makassar just wants to enjoy the rest of the season by giving the best on the field.
“We just want to enjoy football and our focus as a team is on the next game, not the next 2 games, 3 or even 4 games,” he explained.
“We want to take it step by step,” he explained.
