Paolo Banchero’s team wins the Rising Stars Challenge

The challenge between rookies, sophomores and G-League talents goes to Team Gasol, which also includes the Italian American. Defeated 25-20 Team Noah in the grand final

The first experience at‘All Star Game Of Paolo Banchero ends with victory inNba Rising Stars Challenge. The mini-tournament that included rookies, sophomores (second year athletes) and G-League talents was in fact won by the Gasol team, led by Pau and also including the Italian-American. After eliminating Team Deron, Banchero and his teammates defeat Team Noah 25-20 in the grand final. Jose Alvarado (Pelicans) is the MVP.

Paolo Banchero’s first experience in the NBA All Star Game ends with a victory: the Italian-American, part of Team Gasol, in fact conquers success in the Rising Stars Challenge. The challenge changes format again. Three teams made up of the best rookies and sophomores (second year athletes) of the NBA and a team exclusively of talents from the G-League face each other in a Final-Four. Among these stand out Scoot Henderson, very strong candidate for the second pick in the Draft after Wembanyama, and that McClung who will also play the dunk match. The victory goes to the formation including Paolo Banchero, flanked by Alvarado, Barnes, Ivey, Mathurin, Murray and Nembhard. Pau Gasol’s team, in their first experience as a coach, clearly surpasses Team Deron (AJ Griffin, Hyland, Kessler, Murphy III, Sengun, Wagner, Dosunmu) in the semifinal with a score of 40-25. At this point the only obstacle is Team Noah (Duren, Giddey, Grimes, Mobley, Jabari Smith, Sochan, J. Williams), which puts up a strenuous resistance, but surrenders in the final with a score of 25-20: the decisive action bears the signature of José Alvarado, jewel of the Pelicans who will also win the title of Mvp of the Rising Stars, and realizes the decisive triple by winning the duel with Grimes. For the latter, driving force behind Joakim Noah’s team, it is not enough to score 14 of his 20 points to be elected as the best of the match. Paolo Banchero, on the other hand, scores nine points in the semifinal and four in the final. Tonight he will be engaged in the Skills Challenge, in which he will be part of Team Rookies, in tandem with Jaden Ivey and Jabari Smith Jr.
