Indefinitely suspended by the NFL, Jacksonville Jaguars wide receiver Calvin Ridley has begun the process to be reinstated.

On Wednesday, the NFL Network learned that the 28-year-old athlete had requested it as soon as he had the right.

In March 2022, Ridley was suspended following an investigation that found he bet on league games in 2021 while playing for the Atlanta Falcons.

The Georgia club traded the receiver to the Jags last November in return for conditional draft picks.

If the condition is not met, it will be a a sixth-round selection. Additionally, Atlanta is guaranteed to land a fourth-round pick in 2024. This one could become a third-round pick if Ridley plays for the Jaguars that year or a second-round pick if the Athlete signs. a contract extension in Jacksonville.

Ridley caught 31 passes for 281 yards and two touchdowns in five games in 2021. The previous year, he had rushed for 1,374 yards, reaching the end zone nine times in 15 games.
