Elevating Contact Athletes: The Impact of Official Competitions on Judo and Jiu Jitsu Competitors in the Region

To improve the competitive levels of contact athletes in the region, it is necessary for them to be present in official or unofficial events, such as the “Pan American 2024” of judo and jiu jitsu. These events are crucial to improve the technical and physical levels of athletes, projecting the sport to a more professional level.

The “Pan American 2024” will take place on May 25 and 26 at the sports center of the “Mariscal Cáceres” Educational Institution. Judo and jiu jitsu athletes will face each other in a duel to win against all their opponents and take first place in the competition.

The organizer, Ronald Javier Aguado Sauñe, assured that the sporting event expects the presence of at least 200 athletes who will be present in the championship in search of the first places in their respective categories.

“It will be a quality sporting event, with a view to qualifying for national events and with the aim of attracting talented athletes, so that in due course they can represent the region and Peru,” Aguado said.

For this first edition of the championship, the presence of categories such as: children, youth, junior, adults, masters I and II is expected.

Regarding the awards, the athletes who achieve the first places on the podium will receive a gold medal, a diploma of recognition and a cash prize for their successful performance throughout the competition.
