Kyrie Irving keeps Brooklyn Nets fans in suspense: One day after his request for a trade, the Nets announced that he would not play in Saturday’s game against the Washington Wizards – official reason: calf fatigue.

The day before it had become known that Irving had asked the Nets for a trade before the deadline. This was reported by Adrian Wojnarowski ESPN citing a source.

Ahead of the season, insiders reported that the 30-year-old asked to leave the franchise via a sign-and-trade deal. After that, however, he decided to fulfill the last year of his four-year contract.

In the meantime there have also been negotiations between the Nets and the Irving side, which, however, did not lead to any result. In the summer, the point guard would be on the market as a free agent.

He has played 40 games for the Nets this season, averaging 27.1 points, 5.1 rebounds and 5.3 assists.

The Phoenix Suns have signed Saben Lee to a two-way contract. Like Shams Charania from The Athletic reported, Duane Washington jr. placed on the waiver list.

Washington averaged 13 minutes of play and eight points per game. Lee had earned his contract with good performances in his 10-day contract. The second-round pick of the 2020 draft had 17.1 minutes of play, in which he contributed seven points, 3.3 assists and 2.2 rebounds.
