SANTO DOMINGO.- The Dominican Republic will host the XLI Military Judo World Championship that will be held in the country from July 24 to 31 with the participation of 140 nations from around the globe that are organized in the International Military Sports Council (CISM).

The details of this event, which already has the endorsement of the Defense Minister, Lieutenant General Carlos Luciano Diaz Morfawere offered by the President of the Board of Directors of the Sports Circle of the Armed Forces and the National Police, Brigadier General Delio B. Colón Rosario, ERD.

In the meeting with the national press, held at the Ministry of Defense, General Colón Rosario highlighted the importance of this World Cup Day of Military Judo for the Dominican Republic.

The Minister of Defense, in the invitation dossier to the countries that will participate, states that the Dominican Republic is extremely grateful and full of joy for the military sports festival that we will be hosting in this great event.

For his part, General Colón Rosario declared that as President of the CIDEFAPON Board of Directors, he has the honor to invite the military delegation of the CISM member countries to participate in the 41st version of the World Military Judo Championship that will be held from 24 to July 31 of this year in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

“Those 140 nations that are registered have the possibility of being present at this event and it will make the country the center of attention of the world,” said Colón Rosario.

GENERAL DETAILS

The event will take place in the Volleyball Pavilion of the Juan Pablo Duarte Olympic Center, and will have the endorsement and collaboration of the Dominican Judo Federation.

It will compete in different weights and modalities for men and women.

Among the countries that are invited to the fair are: Afghanistan, South Africa, Albania, Germany, Angola, Arabia Saudita Saudi, Austria, United States, France, Nigeria, Pakistan, Peru, Bolivia, Brazil, Canada, Chile, China, Spain , Guyana, India, Italy, Portugal, Qaytal, Romania, Serbia, Russia, Uruguay, Venezuela, Bulgaria, Mongolia, Mozambique among other nations.
