The UJC Dornbirn secured numerous podium places at the Austrian Championships.
Dornbirn/Feldkirch. Five starters – five medals was the motto for UJC Dornbirn at this year’s Austrian Championships in the U18 age group. The competition was held in Feldkirch and five judokas from Dornbirn were at the start, returning home with a sensational result. Matteo Gruber (-50kg) and Tatevik Minasyan (-48kg) each secured gold, Christoph Canal (-60kg) was crowned with the silver medal and Khastaev Rachim (-66kg) and Johanna Nöckl (+70kg) conquered the bronze medal.
On the second day of the Austrian Junior Judo Championships, it was the turn of the under-23s category. Here, too, the young athletes from Dornbirn won two more silver medals. Tatevik Minasyan (-48kg) and Batkhyuag Khangerel “Haanka” (+100kg) were the winners. (cth)
