Manchester City will have to do without De Bruyne against Leipzig

Manchester City will have to do without Kevin De Bruyne in the round of 16 first leg of the Champions League against RB Leipzig on Wednesday (from 9:00 p.m. in the LIVE ticker).

As the “Skyblues” announce, the 31-year-old Belgian is missing from the 22-man squad for the game in Leipzig. However, Manchester City did not say what kind of injury it was.

According to Leipzig head coach Marco Rose, Manchester City are missing an absolute key player as a result of the absence: “With all these world-class players, De Bruyne is world-class, world-class. A lot goes through him.”

The Belgian see rooms and have “an unbelievable dynamic”.

City head coach Pep Guardiola also has to do without two pillars in central defense in Aymeric Laporte and John Stones.

At Leipzig, however, Christopher Nkunku will not appear from the start. The 25-year-old Frenchman was unable to complete the final training session before Wednesday’s duel on Tuesday.
