LaLiga has made public the new salary limits for the squads of all Spanish professional football after the winter market

Barça sees its salary limit reduced by 7.6 million euros compared to last summer

Shortly before the official appearance of Javier Tebas, president of LaLiga, detailing the economic health of the national clubs, the Spanish football association has made public the new salary limits for First and Second Division teams after the recent winter market.

Some figures that, in the case of Barça, are once again reduced due to the economic problems of the Barcelona entity. So, it’s been from the 656’429 million euros of the past summer market to the current 648’824 million. A difference of 7.6 million euros that Barça has had to reduce in terms of salaries to register all the players on its squad. The Bellerín and Memphis march have helped make this possible, in addition to the arrival of new sponsorships in recent months.

Looking ahead to next summer, the figure could be reduced again in the case of Barça, although it is still early to venture what can happen between now and the end of the summer market.

Atlético and Valencia, the face and the cross

Barça is not the only club that has seen its margin to register footballers reduced. He Atlético de Madrid, with 25 million euros lesshas been the club that has had to tighten its belt the most, followed by Sevilla (-8’5) and the aforementioned FC Barcelona. Espanyol (-2’7) and Getafe (-0’27) are the other two injured.

On the opposite side are Valencia (+4’1) and Betis (+3’9) as great beneficiaries when it comes to implementing the new salary limit. Celta, Almería, Rayo, Mallorca, Valladolid, Cádiz and Girona have also seen the limit increase in figures close to one million euros.
