Lakers in focus: Big conversion, Dennis Schröder turns up

There’s a lot going on at the Los Angeles Lakers: The franchise is rebuilding its team these days – and suffered the third bankruptcy in a row on Friday night. However, it wasn’t up to Dennis Schröder.

He alone wasn’t enough against the Bucks: Dennis Schröder.

In the end, 25 points from Schröder were not enough for the Los Angeles Lakers. Despite a tremendous performance by the German national team captain, the team from California lost again. Without the injured superstar LeBron James, there was the third loss in a row – the play-offs are already a long way off after the 106:115 on Thursday (local time) against the Milwaukee Bucks and the 31st loss of the season. The Bucks’ best pitcher was Giannis Antetokounmpo with 38 points.

Meanwhile, the Lakers have largely rebuilt their roster. Schroeder continues to play alongside NBA points record holder James and star star Anthony Davis (18 points against the Bucks). Russell Westbrook (with the Utah Jazz), on the other hand, moved away, as did Patrick Beverley (with the Orlando Magic) and Thomas Bryant (with the Denver Nuggets).

Point guard D’Angelo Russell from the Minnesota Timberwolves and center Mo Bamba from the Orlando Magic will play in the Lakers jersey in the future. The Lakers hope that the changed squad will somehow prevent another year without participating in the playoffs.

22 points from the Wagner brothers

The Orlando Magic around the brothers Franz and Moritz Wagner are not yet on the play-off course. There was a 115:104 against the Denver Nuggets – after all, it was the third win in the past four games. The two Berliners scored 22 points together, Moritz scored 12 points, Franz 10. Wendell Carter Jr. was the best thrower in the Magic with 19 points.
