Judo revives the Comsubin sports centre

The new year marks a “competitively” significant date: in fact, the Sports Center of the “Teseo Tesei” Underwater and Raiders Group was recently reconstituted, with a section dedicated to martial arts and in particular to Judo, after a few years of temporary suspension of activities for contingent needs. It is an important rebirth with many values and objectives that also concern the territory: as is well known, maintaining psychophysical efficiency is a basic and necessary requirement for every soldier and becomes a priority element for operators of the special forces (the Incursori) and the diving departments (the Palombari), who base their daily work at the service of the country on physical performance. But the concept certainly does not stop here, but also develops with the logic of spreading sport and its intrinsic values such as commitment, respect, the spirit of sacrifice which find particular exaltation in judo. The promoter of this important initiative was Rear Admiral Massimiliano Rossi, Commander of Comsubin, while the teaching of the discipline is followed by the First Lieutenant raider/paratrooper Alessandro De Nardi, 3rd Dan black belt and federal technician, who will develop the project through dedicated courses especially towards the younger ones, with the consequent participation in the competitions of the FIJLKAM federal circuit which constitute its maximum expression.
After all, a very interesting aspect that few know is what saw judo be born in Italy precisely through a sailor, Carlo Oletti (a book entitled “Il Marinaio Carlo Oletti, pioneer of Judo in Italy” was recently published – Luni Editrice), who at the beginning of the twentieth century, through multiple business trips to the East, learned his art and wisely spread it in our country, becoming an almost mythological figure of absolute reference.
Alongside De Nardi, there will also be Alessio Binetti, 4th Dan and federal technician for over twenty years, who began the practice of this noble art right in Comsubin in the 1980s (as the son of a diver). has more abandoned.
“Buon Vento” then at the Comsubin Sports Center, with some significant successes already in the first competitions at national level also in activities such as mixed martial arts (MMA) and the Obstacle Course Race (OCR).
