Great season for the Brouzet Judo-club

The judo club has shown strong dynamism for a long time, as its leaders and members are rewarded with excellent results. The young Léo Luthereau recently won a 2nd place in the Gard championship, in the minimal category.

This allowed him to participate in the Occitanie regional championship on February 12 in Mèze where he finished 4th in his category, thus demonstrating his perseverance and determination. Léo Luthereau’s results bear witness to his commitment to the Judo-club Brouzet and his growing talent in this demanding sport.

All these competitions would not exist without a referee, and judo is not just about fighting. As such, Julien Boudet, official referee of the French Judo Federation, trains young referees within the club so that they can practice at official tournaments: This is the school for young officials.

Recently took place in Lodève (Hérault) the cadet championship 2nd tridepartmental division (Gard-Hérault-Lozère). They have been scored and evaluated by experienced referees. There are therefore in the club the two best young referees on this tri-departmental. Théo Boudet was ranked 2nd and Tom Luthereau finished 3rd in the standings.

The young female Emma Maurin also officiates as a sports commissioner. During the traditional vows ceremony of the Gard judo committee, Serge Canadas, who has officiated for years in Brouzet as an emeritus and very involved professor, received the bronze palm from the French Judo Federation. This award is the result of his commitment to the Gard committee.
