Three games of the 2022-2023 NBA season were played on the Italian night . With everyone’s attention turned to the All Star Game, the Chicago Bulls, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Washington Wizards, Phoenix Suns and Los Angeles Clippers took the field. Let’s find out how it turned out.
Away victory for the Milwaukee Bucks who beat the Chicago Bulls 100-112 on a bittersweet evening for guests, who after a few minutes lose Giannis Antetokounmpo to a hand injury which questions his presence at the All Star Game and upcoming Milwaukee commitments. With the Bulls match always in control for the Bucks, who then decisively run away in the last period with Brook Lopez’s 33 points.
The Washington Wizards defeat the Minnesota Timberwolves 106-114. However, they have enough to complain about the Wolves who lead the game for 47 minutes, dominate the first quarter reaching +20, make good and bad times with Anthony Edwards (34 points) and Rudy Gobert (17 points and 19 assists) , but in the last quarter they surrender to Washington’s comeback. The Wizards close the gap, find the overtaking triple with Kuzma with 1’14” to go and with a run of 12-0 in the last two minutes they prevail. Top scorer Bradley Beal with 35 points.
The Los Angeles Clippers also bring home a hit on the road and they do it by beating the Phoenix Suns 107-116. LAC that is the hare for almost the entire match, with the Suns struggling to respond, but in the last quarter the Californians give the decisive push and run away. Josh Okogie’s 24 points are not enough in Phoenix, with the Clippers rediscovering a great team game, sending five players in double figures, with Paul George and Terance Mann top scorer with 26 points.
