Lyon “WTA 250” semi-finals
WTA Finals champion and French number one Caroline Garcia crushed the 15 centimeters shorter Colombian first racket Maria Osorio, who eliminated Czech talent Linda Noskov yesterday. This French woman reached the final of the Lyon tournament for the first time.

In the second semi-final, US No. 12 Alicia Parks played Ukrainian-born Belgian No. 3 Marina Zanevska. The American woman was superior in runs (13 to 1) and plays, as well as more effectively used break points (4/8 to 3/12). Parks has reached the finals of the WTA tournament for the first time.

Ukraine’s fifth-best tennis player Lesya Curenko surprisingly beat Canada’s second-ranked Bianca Andreska, who was quoted as the main favorite of the tournament and refused to continue the fight in the second set today.
