Los Angeles (SID) – Despite a strong performance by Franz Wagner, the Orlando Magic suffered another setback in the North American professional basketball league NBA. Orlando lost 108:121 against the Indiana Pacers, the German international Franz Wagner was the most successful thrower of his team with 21 points. His brother Moritz got eight points. It was the 36th loss in the 61st game, and the play-off places are still not in sight for Orlando.
The evening was more successful for Isaiah Hartenstein, who won 128:106 against the New Orleans Pelicans with his New York Knicks. The Knicks continued their triumphal march, it was the fifth in a row. New York has won eight of the past ten games and is on course for the playoffs.
Meanwhile, the Boston Celtics triumphed in the top game of the Eastern Conference. Jayson Tatum hit a three with less than two seconds left to make it 110-107 for the Philadelphia 76ers. Boston sits first in the table in the east, ahead of the Milwaukee Bucks and the 76ers. A series of five wins ended for Philadelphia – although top star Joel Embiid again showed a strong performance with 41 points.
