Davis Cup 2022: Finland knocks Argentina out of the Davis Cup final phase; Croatia, Korea, the Netherlands and Chile, classified

Croatia, South Korea, the Netherlands, Finland, Chile and the Czech Republic vacancies for the Davis Cup finals after solving their respective duels of the qualifying rounds played this weekend.

These six teams join those of Switzerland, France, Serbia, Sweden, Great Britain and the United Stateswho achieved their goal on Saturday.

The twelve winners of the qualifying duels join the finalists of the last edition, Canada, champion, and Australia, finalist, and two teams that obtained an invitation: Spain and Italy.

Thus, sixteen national teams make up the poster for the 2023 Davis Cup edition, which will play a group stage in septemberin venues yet to be confirmed, and a final round in November, among the eight survivors, in Malaga.

Chile returns to the Davis Cup finals four years later after beating Kazakhstan in La Serena (3-1). The triumph of Cristian Garin versus Alexander Bublik gave the South Americans the final point. Finland agreed for the first time in a final at the expense of Argentinawho was left out after losing in the tie played in Espoo (3-1). Emil Ruusuvuori was the architect. South Korea achieved for the second consecutive edition his presence among the best in the Davis Cup. They beat Belgium in Seoul (3-2) with a spectacular comeback on matchday two. Zizou Bergs and David Goffin left the series at 0-2, but victories on Sunday for Seong Chan Hong, Soonwoo Kwon and the doubles formed by Jisung Nam and Minkyu Song turned the situation around and took the Asian team to the final phase .

On Saturday, Switzerland beat Germany in Trier (2-3), France in Tatabanya beat Hungary (2-3), the United States beat Uzbekistan in Tashkent (0-4), Great Britain beat Colombia in Cota (1-3), Serbia beat Norway in Oslo (0-4) and Sweden beat Bosnia in Stockholm (3-1).
