Facundo Bagnis, Federico Delbonis, Juan M. Cerúndolo and Camilo Ugo Carabelli will be the four Argentines who will play this afternoon in the ATP 500 qualy in Rio de Janeiro, that will have as main figure the Spanish Carlos Alcaraz, who is in the semifinals of the contest that is played in Buenos Aires.
The four Argentines were protagonists of a new edition of the ATP 250 of Argentina, which is being played in Buenos Aires, and before that they were in Córdoba, although in neither of the two contests could they advance to the decisive stage.
Bagnis will be the first of the Argentines to play in the qualy in Rio against Joao Lucas Da Silva, then Delbonis will face the German Yannick Hanfmann, the The minor of the Cerúndolo will face Matheus Pucinelli de Almeida and Carabelli with the Chilean Nicolás Jarry.
The traditional tournament in Rio is the third to be played in the South American tour on brick dust and that will count as it happens in Buenos Aires with the Spanish Alcaraz as the main figure and candidate to win the title.
With the presence of Diego Schwartzman in doubt, after his discreet performance in both Córdova and Buenos Aires, the remaining Argentines in the main draw will be Francisco Cerúndolo, Sebastián Báez, Pedro Cachín, Federico Coria, Tomás Etcheverry and Guido Pella, who will use his protected ranking in the contest that had him as a finalist in 2016, when he was at a great moment in his campaign.
