absent from the bench against Lens, Laurent Blanc suffers from pneumonia

The Lyon coach was not on the bench during his team’s victory against Lens.

Absent from the bench during the match of the 23rd day of Ligue 1, Lyon-Lens (2-1), Sunday at Groupama stadium, the coach of OL, Laurent Blanc suffers from a pneumopathy, has announced OL on Tuesday.

“Currently under treatment for pneumonia, the Lyon coach is resting and sees his condition improving daily,” said a press release from the Rhone club without specifying the duration of the technician’s absence. The presence of the latter, however, seems uncertain Friday in Auxerre where Lyon moves for the 24th day of the championship (9:00 p.m.).

The healing time for pneumopathy is in principle about fifteen days. Lyon will play anyway without their striker and scorer, Alexandre Lacazette, victim of a left thigh injury.
