On February 8, they lost 2-1 to Olympique de Marseille in the round of 16 of the Coupe de France and were eliminated from the competition. Three days later they were beaten 3-1 by AS Monaco in Ligue 1 and last Tuesday they lost 1-0 at home to Bayern Munich in the first leg of the Champions League round of 16 first leg. This is the first time since 2011 that they have suffered three defeats in a row.

Galtier arrived in Paris before the start of the current season. A big supporter of the move was sporting director Luis Campos, who believed it would bring the all-star team to play collectively. Initially, this worked, but in recent weeks the team has again become too dependent on the attitude of the biggest stars. – PSG seems to be the sum of individualities, depending on the flashes of the attacking trio (Neymar, Mbappe, Leo Messi – ed.). And of course Christophe Galtier is partly responsible for this breakdown.
