A football referee hit after the D3 match in Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts

The match which opposed yesterday afternoon, the team of FC Saint-Mitre-les-Remparts, on their land, to that of Châteauneuf-les-Martigues (Senior D3) had just ended with a victory at home 3 goals to 2, when around 5 p.m., the climate turned stormy on the lawn of the René-Jauras stadium.

When signing the score sheet, the captain of the Châteauneuf team first verbally attacked the referee about a simple fact of play. While the latter warned the player that he was about to report the incident, the captain punched the referee, who fell. “It’s a game-ending altercation, but it’s deplorable“, regrets, dismayed, the staff of FC Saint-Mitre.
