You Season 4 Poster Shows Joe Thinking About His Future

There are so many exciting series returning in 2023. This includes the hit Netflix horror thriller Toi which launches its fourth season in early February. Now, to ring in the new year, Toithe new poster of sees Joe Goldberg (Penn Badgley) thinking about his past sins.

The poster, posted on ToiThe official Instagram page shows Joe in the heart of London in his usual baseball cap stalker outfit. However, this time, he is staring into a red London phone booth, looking deep within himself. What he sees is his appropriately bearded new character, Professor Jonathan Moore, who oddly looks not at Joe, but at us the audience. If the poster’s tagline, “He’s a bit of a thinker,” is to be believed, Joe took care of himself. He took the time to reflect on his past sins and might feel remorse for the body bags that line his dark obsessive past. However, it’s not Joe at all. Former women in his life like Beck, Delilah and the equally crazy Love will tell you otherwise. We’ve seen that “I’m a Changed Man” act many times before. It’s only a matter of time before this killer’s bloodlust returns and Joe’s true nature once again shows its ugly head.

Toi in its first three seasons, was one of the best TV shows around. Its unique blend of intimate grizzly horror and wry dark humor has made the show incredibly unpredictable over the years. Its brilliant cast has only added to the success of this horror series, with Badgley’s Joe being the perfect lead character that everyone loves to hate. It’s going to be very interesting to see how Joe handles being in London.

The character has been a fish out of water before, but never in another country all together. Each location, whether New York, Los Angeles or the suburbs, felt like a distinct character and obstacle for Joe. London is no exception with Season 4 marketing having a lot of fun with the new setting so far. It really feels like Joe is running out of “second chances” with this new poster. To add to that, his new teaching position at a university isn’t the character’s usual MO to blend in. It definitely looks like a gesture of desperation, and it doesn’t help that he doesn’t like the younger ones very much. generations. Considering his past monologues, Joe’s new students are going to be in danger, to say the least this season.
