The VTB United Basketball League All-Star Game will be held on February 19, in Moscow, with no capacity restrictions for the public, for the first time in two years.
“The All-Star Game traditionally promotes our league. This is exactly the event that attracts new spectators, new basketball fans,” VTB League President Sergei Kushchenko told TASS. “On February 19, everyone will have a light show in a new format. Players will be divided into Old School and New School Teams. Tickets are already selling out. »
The first VTB United League All-Star Game was held in 2017 in Sochi, the second in 2018 in St. Petersburg. Subsequent editions were held in Moscow at the VTB Arena.
“The quality of basketball has dropped, let’s not pretend, but not dramatically. We continue to maintain a high level of competition. Quality players remain in the VTB United League, but more importantly, we are seeing a real increase in fans both in the halls and on the league’s social networks,” Kushchenko further certified.
